Restaurant Review Spano's Ristorante Italiano

Restaurant Review - Spano'sRistoranteItaliano ( www.spanos.net ) on Arnold Ave in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.

I cannot rave about this place enough. First Joe Spano the chef on about 2 hours notice made an app for the table that was not on the menu.

The asparagus appetizer was wrapped in cheese then deep fried was great as always. Can't say enough about the service.  Let the restaurant know on facebook that we were headed down and they go out of their way to prepare this on about 2 hours notice.

For entrees 2 people including myself had the veal parm.  As always the veal was second to none.  It just melts in your mouth.   One had the CANNELLONI special, (Three to an order...thin crepes rolled around our special blend of chicken, prosciutto, spinach and pancetta, plated atop our marinara then topped with alfredo sauce and baked to bubbly) I am told it was as good as my veal.  One had the Vodka pasta dish, again a very generous dish filled with a vodka sauce. All at the table could not finish the meal as the portions were very generous but the food was very, very good. Once again the chef and staff at Spano's made the 137 mile RT well worth it.
